Integral Eye Movement Therapy

Integral Eye Movement Therapy (IEMT) was pioneered by Andy T. Austin.  IEMT is a technique aimed at reducing intense negative emotional states.  By recalling a troublesome memory or emotion, and being guided by me to move your eyes in precisely calibrated movements, the negative emotion that you have associated with that memory can be significantly reduced.   IEMT is a 'non-disclosure' technique using a series of eye movements which bring about rapid change to the client by reducing and removing unwanted emotional or identity conflicts.  It is a very affective therapy and is said that IEMT works on "most of the people for most of the time" and is particularly helpful in addressing Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Phobias, Anxiety, Depression, Negative unwanted thoughts and undesired identity traits.  Being a 'non- disclosure' therapy means that clients can address long standing problems without having to disclose anything to the IEMT practitioner. 

   

But IEMT is so much more than just moving your eyes around.  It also works on negative Identity imprints which can occur at any time in life.  IEMT can not only help you understand how you learned to be a certain way, it can also identify any behavioural patterns which may be holding you back in life.   IEMT can make positive changes in your life enabling you to make lasting changes for the better.

Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is a fantastic way of accessing your subconscious mind allowing you more control over your own life. It can help you address any unwanted habits such as smoking, over eating, and other issues such as fears, phobias, stress or self-confidence issues.  You will always remain in full control of your mind and your dignity will be respected at all times.

Your subconscious mind is extremely powerful and is your driving force.  If your conscious mind were to go into battle with your subconscious mind, the subconscious would always win!  The beauty of Hypnotherapy is that you are taken into a state of deep relaxation enabling the subconscious mind to listen and respond to positive suggestions such as improving self-confidence, or being free of a phobia.  It is simply a way of  'changing the record' when the subconscious mind is stuck and running negative programmes. Hypnotherapy acts to re-write these negative beliefs so that you can achieve your goals.

Can't decide which therapy to choose?

​

Don't worry if you can't decide between IEMT and Hypnotherapy.  I will fully assess to see which is appropriate for you. I can do a simple suggestibility tests to establish whether  Hypnotherapy is likely to be effective.  Similarly I can test whether IEMT might be more appropriate depending on your presenting issue.

 

You might even like to try both therapies over the course of your appointments. There really is no hard and fast rule of how your sessions are conducted.
